2011 SPECIAL DRY RARITIES SELECTION
Another 2011 Rarities offering that we just received is the 19" Special Dry Crash Ride. It is a beauty and it lives up to its name. It has a great "dry" quality that brings clarity to your "ride" pattern playing and a great controlled "crash" that opens up beautifully and then quickly decays to get out of the way.
This Crash Ride is made to complement Zildjian's 21" Special Dry Ride that is a Percussion Partners favorite. Used together, this combination allows you to drive any band with a defined stick sound and the added color and punctuation of quick crash bursts that don't get in the way. Two different lathe patterns, combined with two distinctive hammering methods, lend themselves to giving these models both great crash and ride qualities.

Here at Percussion Partners we just received our first sample from the Zildjian 2011 Rarities Collection- the 19” K Dark Thin Ride and we couldn’t be more pleased. This years limited offerings should be part of every serious cymbal lovers collection.
The K Dark Thin models have a lot of flexibility and are rolled EXTRA THIN and extensively Hammered to give you that distinctive VINTAGE K sound. The pairing of the 19” and 22” K Dark Thin Ride models complement each other with both their Ride and Crash qualities and together they can serve as your right and left ride- you pick which goes where! The 14” K Dark thin hats feature a Paper Thin top and Thin Bottom to perfectly finish off the set.
These extremely limited 2011 models are fun to play and fit in easily when volume is an issue. The small bell retains stick definition with a clarity of stick sound and the wash doesn’t over power your performance. They let you “play” and dig in without overpowering the band.
