Bet you can't have just one!

The snare drum is the most important drum on your kit. No drum is more personal or identifiable to a drummers sound. No drum drives a band, an army, or a dancer, nor defines the “groove “ that moves the listener like the snare drum. There is no drum that shows off a drummers hands or the hours of dedication invested to master technique and musicianship like the snare drum. And there is no such thing as "owning too many snare drums!"

So how many do you have? Do you own a Ludwig?  The Ludwig Family of Snare Drums are known as the  ‘must have’ working drummer’s drum. Metal or Wood, the Ludwig Snare drums feel great, sound great and always evokes an emotional response from everyone who plays them. Since 1911, the Ludwig snare drum has been the drum that all others have been measured against. Ludwig snare drums are coveted, collected and continuously regarded as the the #1 drum in a drummers toolkit.

Epic Modular

Product Title:
Epic Modular
Product Information:

There has never been a kit that gives you so much for so little. The Ludwig Epic Modular kit is a 7 piece ALL BIRCH "drumset innovation" that is not only versatile, it is incredibly practical. With a street price of $888.00, this Epic Modular is a great investment and delivers Pro performance.

The 7 piece kit consists of two 20" bass drums, two toms-10"x 7" and 12"x 7" , two floor toms-14"x 12" and 16"x14"  and a 13"x 6" snare drum.  The two 20"x8" eight ply birch kick drums can be used independent of each other or connected together with supplied hardware for a big,"fat" bass drum sound.

The sound of the individual kicks is deceiving. They have both great tone and punch, but they move a bit less air and work wonderfully in controlled playing situations. All the toms have thin 6 ply shells and are extremely responsive while delivering a warm focused tone.

You can build the kit configuration according to your needs. Need to Practice double bass technique? Use both of the  individual bass drums for a traditional double kick kit.  Need to get a bigger sound for heavier music? Strap the bass drums together to add more bottom end. Want to jam with a friend? Make up two individual 4 pc kit configurations and have your buddy bring his own snare drum to the session and knock yourselves out!  This is also a great way to outfit a teaching studio and allows a teacher to play along with her students.

This kit comes in 2 rich wood finishes and will get a lot of favorable comments from fellow musicians for it's great looks and for a sound that fits perfect into any musical situation.

22" K CONSTANTINOPLE THIN RIDE - OVERHAMMERED

This new 22" K Constantinople is thin in weight to give it a nice dark pitch and plenty of wash. An additional series of over hammered marks on top of the traditional K Constantinople hammering yields a slightly drier sound with excellent stick definition for marking time. Very controllable in that it doesn't get away from you when playing fast patterns. Great for small to medium sized group settings.

The dark wash and overtones, coupled with the dry stick articulation, makes this a great cymbal for filling up the rhythm section and backing up soloists. According to an article in the July 2010 Modern Drummer magazine by Michael Dawson, "...this cymbal is one of the closest I'ver heard to capturing the overall vibe of Elvin's ride sound."

If you are looking for that big ,dark ride cymbal sound that you can still control, go try it out for yourself at one of these quality drum shops.
