Keith Carlock coming to town!
One of the most sought after drummers today, Keith Carlock will be hitting the road on a 13-city US clinic tour in April and May of 2012. Keith has been the driving force behind artists such as Steely Dan, James Taylor, Sting, John Mayer, The Blues Brothers, Wayne Krantz, and many others. His distinctive sound and unique approach have set him apart from other players of his generation. Since arriving on the music scene in the late 90s, Keith has topped several reader’s polls including #1 Pop, #1 Fusion and #1 All-Around in the 2009 Modern Drummer Readers’ Polls. Other career highlights include appearances at the 2008 Zildjian Drummers Achievement Award Tribute to Ginger Baker in London and the 2011 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC).

The K Dark Thin models have a lot of flexibility and are rolled EXTRA THIN and extensively Hammered to give you that distinctive VINTAGE K sound. The pairing of the 19” and 22” K Dark Thin Ride models complement each other with both their Ride and Crash qualities and together they can serve as your right and left ride- you pick which goes where! The 14” K Dark thin hats feature a Paper Thin top and Thin Bottom to perfectly finish off the set.

Same First Name...Same last Name... 4 different personalities.
It may say Zildjian .... It may say HiDefinition Ride... but each of the four identically named cymbals in this short video have their own distinct personality. They are all manufactured to the highest quality standards, but by the very nature of the production process, each of these “cast” Zildjian cymbal will have a unique sound and personality all of it's own.
All four of these Zildjian Hi- definition Rides that were inspired with input from Terri Lynn Carrignton were pulled right out of the cymbals bins at Professional Drum Shop in Hollywood,CA and are demonstrated by Stan Keyawa of Pro Drum .

The video, “Professional Drum Shop 50 years”, tells the story of real professional drummers creating a real PROFESSIONAL DRUM SHOP in Hollywood, California back in 1959. This was no accident, since it just happened to be located across the street from the MUSICIANS UNION LOCAL 47. Nearly every drummer of renown has passed through Professional Drum Shop's doors over the last 50 years, leaving a lasting impression, which is in evidence in the store today.

The store is plastered with images of the drummers who have made a contribution to our drumming community. Some names are burnt in the minds of every drummer, others names may be known only to a few. But all these drummers have meant something to Pro Drum. All have made a contribution to our craft in some way and Professional Drum Shop continues to honor them.
